Dear CAHN Members,
As our 2017 CAHN Conference in Reno, Nevada fast approaches, I wanted to reach
out and share some exciting news.
As most of you
know this is a very unique opportunity to attend training in the
"Biggest Little City" in the world. To go along with that motto,
we are bringing speakers and attendees from around the world. I am proud
to say that CAHN is one of the most robust and forward leaning negotiation
programs in the US.
We are fortunate
to have a membership and elected board who are truly involved and are
passionate about what we do as negotiators. This year specifically we are
very fortunate to have such a cadre of speakers who will come together in
September to provide a highly valuable training opportunity. When we look
around and seek out individuals who are experts in their field of communications
or law, we strive to elicit the best possible. And this year, the CAHN
Board has worked just as hard to provide such a conference.
Just to highlight a
few speakers, we are grateful to have Chief Inspector (Ret.) Andrew Brown from
Scotland Yard who will present on the Australia's Lindt Siege. We are
also blessed to have Chief Inspector Lou Provart from Norfolk Police UK
discussing Developing an Evidence Based Approach related to Crisis
Negotiations. We will also have Sgt. Charles Crosby from the Orlando
Police Department presenting on the Florida Pulse Night Club Incident.
Including Sgt. Daniel Oblinger from Wichita PD to discuss The Future of Crisis
Negotiations, these are just a few of the speakers who have committed to
providing an extraordinary level of training in Reno this year.
I look forward to
seeing you in September and until then, (we have a saying in Punjabi) Phir
Melange Dost, Til We Meet Again My Friend.
